Professor King Chia-Lun was born in Shanghai, China in 1935, with ancestral roots in Haining, Zhejiang. He graduated from the Department of Art at Taiwan Normal University.
Professor King has conducted in-depth research to inherit the strengths of traditional calligraphy and painting, focusing on Tai Chi aesthetics derived from the I Ching (Book of Changes). He established his own systematic theories, including:

Tai Chi calligraphy and painting enable traditional art forms with unique Chinese cultural characteristics to truly achieve the goal of “Calligraphy and Painting as One, Inheriting the Past and Ushering in the Future.”
