"Ink Travels HK" Students
「墨游香港」學員

Five elderly students from Hong Kong Rehabilitation Power take “Ink Travels Hong Kong” as their starting point. Picking up a brush for the first time, they tell the story of our city through ink.

Though they may have limited mobility, they travel freely among Hong Kong’s landmarks with their brushes — the solitary lamp of Lei Yue Mun Lighthouse, the old silhouette of the Tsim Sha Tsui Clock Tower, the scattered fishing lights of Cheung Chau Harbour, and the bright moon above the harbour are all recreated in the gradations of ink. These “old friends'” urban landscapes do not pursue meticulous precision; instead, with plain brushwork and candid composition, they paint the memories and emotions of a life shared with this city.

Each work is a testament to “painting without boundaries”: the body may be limited, but the ink journey is boundless. You are invited to look closely at the Hong Kong they depict, and to see how art allows life to unfold once again.
